Since its inception, the jewelry manufacturing firm of K. Goldschmidt Jewelers, Inc. has been renown for fine-quality, antique style jewelry.

The company was founded in 1940 by Kurt Goldschmidt who, two years earlier, had emigrated from Germany where he was trained as a jeweler.

Goldschmidt started out specializing in the repair of antique jewelry. He found himself attracted to the style and designs of the pieces he worked with and began to accurately reproduce them.

Kurt’s two sons Henry and Herbert, who grew up in the business, later joined the company. As the company continued to grow and thrive, we moved from the Bowery to our present location on 47th Street in New York City.

Today, three generations of Goldschmidts later, our company is still dedicated to creating the finest quality antique style jewelry. Herbert’s son David and Henry’s son Richard now own the company and maintain its fine traditions. Many of the pieces in the K. Goldschmidt collection are manufactured using the same tools and techniques that were used decades ago. Our styling is classic in its design.

Naturally, success breeds imitation and the company occasionally finds fakes coming back for repairs. Like Cartier, which is also plagued by knock-offs, the imitations are returned to the sender with a sincere note. "Please buy ours, you won’t have any problems."
